SUMMARY:Receptive Ecumenism
DESCRIPTION:Tidigare har fyra internationella konferenser i receptiv ekumenik ägt rum i olika delar av världen och nu inbjuder Sveriges kristna råd tillsammans med Enskilda högskolan och Sigtunastiftelsen till den femte internationella konferensen i Sigtuna 27-30 juni 2022. \nOm receptiv ekumenik\nReceptiv ekumenik är en ny form för samtal i den ekumeniska rörelsen som  vuxit fram vid Centre for Catholic Studies vid Durham University i Storbritannien. SUMMARY:Democracy\, freedom and respect
DESCRIPTION:Religion and Society in Europe – Democracy\, freedom and respect. \nRecently\, we have seen several acts of violence and terror in the name of religion\n– also in Europe!Moreover\, we have seen acts of protest and violence against\npeople based on their religious identity. What roles do religion play for cultural identity?\nWhat can religious institutions do to work for peaceful coexistence and respect\namong people with different cultural backgrounds and religious perspectives? How\ncan we sustain democracy and freedom of expression\, and the freedom of and respect\nfor people with cultural identities that include religion as a significant dimension? \nIn conjunction with a European conference at the Sigtuna Foundation\, we organize a\npublic program on present challenges as to religion and society in Europe.
